I'm sure we have our fair share of parents who are glad we have started back up. Gets their kids out of the house. Parents love the school year. Usually.

and on that note:
been working on that photo project (again), got all my rolls sorted and bundled (they were all just in one big box), and now I can just grab the next in line---of which there are still 10 left

.....I thought I had been making headway getting 3 of them done this year, but at this rate I wont finish until....late 2015

/sigh guess I really should get them out once a month to move them along a bit faster (think my processor just sent me a coupon for like 30% off my next order, would be a good time to get another order out even though I had JUST sent them one

).

Ya a digital camera would have made life a lot easier on you, that is for sure. Way better than sorting through 10 boxes of old photos... No thank you there.

Well still on the car hunt. I'm feud up of waiting for this one car to be done so I'm going to go try to see a different car tomorrow. It is more expensive, like double the price, but a third of the miles. So we will see what comes of that. Really need to get the wife a car...

yes, 2 cars for 2 people is a much better idea.

I remember when we only had one car....in grad school (hubby) it was fine since I could drop him off at school and then go to work. The when we both worked, we worked opposite hours (he would come home and give me the keys and I would leave for work).

But after grad school when we both worked, it didnt work out....I would have to drive him to his job, drive to mine, and after work drive from my job to his and then home. Used to add a bunch of hours onto our travel times--I had to drop him off early enough so that I could drive from his office to mine and get to work on time. (not to mention miles onto the car which by then was having issues--if you stepped on the brake the car would die, and during rush hours I would have to ride the brake and gas pedals at the same time....it was fun times).

so yeah, 2 cars for 2 jobs is the ONLY way to go---good luck with car shopping!!

Grandkids are glad school has started. Our 4 yr old grandson started preschool this year. Having fun and has new friends, " 2 girls, 1 boy." Celebrated the youngest one's 1st birthday this last Sunday. Time is flying and the younguns are growing so fast.

I work about 20 miles from where we now live, so it is about a 45-50 minute round trip. For her to take me in and drop me off then come pick me back up is a bit much. So ya, definitely need another car soon...

My oldest nephew is 7... Seems like just a few days ago he was but a toddler...

think we did this before.....oldest nephew is... 32 in november

and yeah, I remember his first birthday party too...

and yeah, we didnt live near work either--to hubby's job was about 45 minutes, from there to mine was another ~30 minutes...so for me to get to work on time we had to leave around 6:30am...we usually got home around 7pm (or later on somedays)....dont ever want to do that one again.

I have to leave by 6:30 to get there by 7, of course I don't have to be in until 7:45 but I am more productive in the morning. I am usually home by 4:15-4:20 then.

really hated sitting in rush hour (not that we were 'rushing' anywhere), the extra ~4 hours was not my cup of anything then or ever, think its part of why I havent found another job since I got back from japan---I just dont want to spend years of my life driving to and from a job I will probably hate more than bacon; especially at the current wages being offered. (you know that an entry level office position is STILL only ~$10/hour??? which is the same as it was more than 15 years ago?!!! back when minimum wage was 4-5/hour

)

and they want to raise minimum wage yet again all the while everyone else is NOT getting a raise (hubby hasnt had one in years)....soon the burger flippers will be earning more without a hs diploma than a BA required entry level job! Guess I should brush up on my spanish for 'do you want fries with that?'

Ya I don't understand that. It doesn't make people want to further there education. Not when they can make the same at the burger joint that they could at a job after getting a 4 year degree. Dumb dumb. Guess that sums up government though.

Welp bought a car. Went out after work today with the wife and looked at one. Only has 28000 miles on it. 2003, so a 10 year old car but with low miles. Drove it, had it inspected, and let her drive it. The inspection found some issues but when I brought them up the guy told me he would take care of them. (He is a dealership) So I haggled the price down a bit and put a down payment on it. So the problems are being fixed tomorrow and we pick it up tomorrow. So glad we finally have a 2nd car.

in other news: was having issues with eby--seems their scheduled maintenance went a bit longer than usual (was supposed to be down for ~2 hours, was more like 3 1/2)...thought it was my internet for a bit, then I shut down all the other computers and was able to get to all sites EXCEPT eaby, well that narrowed it waaaay down....but seems to be back up now.

Warm weather all this week. 92 today. 93 tomorrow. 95 Tuesday and Wednesday. Staying in the 90's until next weekend at this point... Hot hot hot...

Well going to my parents today to help them move furniture out of their family room. They are getting new carpet so all of that stuff has to be moved. Will probably swim while over there since it is supposed to be so hot.

We have the new car at home and are in the process of getting two more keys for it. Wife loves it, which is what I wanted. So glad to have that done. Finally.

yeah another hot one and the week looks pretty warm too....but I think one week is ok since it could have been the whole last month instead, so not complaining.

we had our walk and then went out for lunch...and then a nice long afternoon nap, THAT is what sundays are about!

When we finished dinner was ready. Then I took my dad to Menard's to get some acid for the pool. So ya. Maybe this weekend. Especially since it is supposed to be super hot still.

Well drove into work today and got behind a dump truck. Apparently 150 yds behind it isn't safe. Had a rock fly out of the back of the dump truck and hit my windshield. Left a little chip and a centimeter crack. Thought I was far enough away... Apparently not.
